Dit is de perfecte dag om Senegal te ontdekken. 's Ochtends vertrekken we naar de veerboot van Banjul naar Bara aan de noordoever. Dit is een belevenis op zich, geniet van een waar spektakel van bestelwagens en auto's die allerlei spullen vervoeren. Aan de andere kant vervolgen we onze reis naar Senegal. Wacht bij de grens en verwonder je over het trage tempo. Na het passeren van de grens rijden we naar Fathala Park. We maken een twee uur durende tocht door het park. Hier kunnen we dieren tegenkomen die we in Gambia niet meer zien, zoals zebra's, neushoorns en giraffen. Misschien zelfs de westelijke reuzeneland. In Fathala krijg je een indruk van de West-Afrikaanse jungle zoals die ooit was.<\/span><\/p>
